Based on the jumper worn by great drivers such as Peter Collins and Phil Hill, the Suixtil Raticosa is made from 90% lambs wool and 10% cashmere to create a chunky knit which is both warm and elegant.
This 5-gauge heavy (about 550 grams, 1.2 lbs) jumper has kept all the distinctive attributes; from the raglan sleeves to the high round neck collar line, of its original. The Raticosa brings the unique Suixtil combination of historic relevance and modern comfort and style. Perfect for the paddock or for driving on the chillier days and ideal for a Winter Marathon.

The wool has been treated with the Basolan process which creates a softer feel and greater resistance to pilling.

Suixtil grew into a well-known brand in Argentina in the 1940s and ‘50s, based on its high quality gentlemen’s suits and its constant involvement in international car racing, a sport then as now full of heroism and glory that gave the brand its renown and cachet. The national racing team was known as Escuderia Suixtil as a result of Suixtil’s sponsorship of the team.
