Description
The 1969 German Grand Prix was held at the Nurburgring, known amongst motor racing fans as “The Green Hell”. The race is remembered for Jacky Ickx’s titanic battle with the Matra-Ford of Sir Jackie Stewart. Ickx would take victory after Stewart slowed following gearbox trouble.
