Description

The 1976 British Grand Prix took place at Silverstone. It occurred during the “Summer of ’76” in Britain, which was in the midst of one of the hottest summer’s on record. After an incident-filled start, British hero James Hunt charged through the field in a replacement McLaren, roared on by the partisan home crowd. Hunt went on to pass the Ferrari of Niki Lauda and take a famous home victory. However, the stewards later disqualified Hunt for using a replacement car, and handed the Victory to Lauda. This poster commemorates the race.
