Vanwall and BRM confirmed for Hall of Fame display
Britain’s first world championship race winner will be on display at this summer’s Motor Sport Hall of Fame event, held at the Royal Automobile Club, Woodcote Park on Tuesday, May 31.
The Vanwall VW5, part of the Donington Grand Prix Collection, won the 1957 British Grand Prix at Aintree driven by Tony Brooks and Stirling Moss. The victory was the first taken by a British-built car, and the last time the spoils were shared in a world championship race.
The car will be on display for both Hall of Fame Live and the Awards Dinner, tickets to which are available to readers for the first time. Tickets to Hall of Fame Live include afternoon tea among the stars and these cars, plus the chance to ask the likes of Tom Kristensen and Darren Turner questions during a Q&A session, all for £72pp.

Also on display during the exclusive event will be a BRM P139 driven by John Surtees. The Len Terry-designed car was raced by John Surtees and Jackie Oliver during the 1969 and ’70 F1 seasons, claiming a podium in the 1969 United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen.
The two will join the Stirling Moss Jaguar C-Type and Masten Gregory Ferrari 750 Monza already confirmed. More cars will be announced for the special display soon.
