John Watson to drive Camaro Z28

In 1969 Mark Donohue won the Trans-Am championship aboard a Roger Penske-run Sunoco Camaro Z28. The car won six out of the eight races and finished second in the other two.
The 1960s Penske team named themselves The Unfair Advantage Race Team, which alluded to some of the modifications they managed with the Camaro. Based on a particularly unwieldy road car it was a miracle the racers ran as well as they did.
Suffolk-based Scott Automotive has recently purchased and prepared a similar Camaro Z28 and chose the Donohue livery as a homage to Roger Penske. This car is coming to the Hall of Fame on June 7 at the Royal Automobile Club and will be driven up the Captain’s Drive by five-time Grand Prix winner John Watson.
