The highlight is Namerow Corner, where cars enter steeply uphill and exit downhill. But the circuit was narrow and bumpy, and when the drivers complained after the 1970 Grand Prix, the race did not return. St Jovite was bought by clothing magnate Lawrence Stroll in 2000 and the track was closed for two years while it was refurbished. A chicane was installed at Turn 2 and Turn 6 replaced by a new section. Widened and repaved, it held a round of the 2007 Champ Car World Series – Robert Doornbos winning in the wet for Minardi Team USA.
