The oldest permanent racing circuit in the world, Milwaukee held its first race on 11 September 1903, four years before Brooklands opened. Set in the heart of America's brewery town, the Wisconsin State Fair Park is a lightly banked (9 degrees), bumpy, short oval. Its race was traditionally held the week after Indy, giving the event an after-party feel. The track was paved following the August 1953 event, and both Jim Clark (1963) and Nigel Mansell (1993) scored their first oval wins here.
