Early in February we had former McLaren team manager Alastair Caldwell in for one of our most entertaining podcasts yet. Part of our conversation with him related to the infamous 1976 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.

To listen to that podcast click here.

As you’ll recall James Hunt was involved in the first lap fracas, barred from taking the re-start and then allowed to line up after a near riot from the furious home crowd.

Of course, James went on to take a famous victory but protests from the Ferrari, Tyrrell and Fittipaldi teams lead to an eventual disqualification in September of that year.

During the podcast we put out a request for stories from anyone who was at Brands Hatch in 1976 for the British Grand Prix. In the July issue of the magazine we’re looking back at that day and, instead of giving you the (well-told) story from the paddock, we want to hear from you.

We have lots of great stories from you to use, but now we want your photos and mementos. Do you have any personal photos from the day? Your programme? Ticket stubs? Anything you think might be interesting, we’d love to see it!
