July 18

1959: Jack Brabham leads the British Grand Prix from start to finish at Aintree, while Stirling Moss and Bruce McLaren produce an entertaining battle over second. Report

1970: Jochen Rindt wins the British Grand Prix, but briefly loses victory when his rear wing is deemed illegal. The win is reinstated hours later. Report

1976: Brands Hatch descends into a near-riot, as James Hunt is disqualified from the British Grand Prix. Report
