Co-founder of Williams F1, Patrick Head is one of the top engineers to have worked in Formula 1 over the years.

Having been with the team since its inception, Head oversaw the rise of the team to championship prominence as well as with a number of world champion drivers including Alan Jones, Nelson Piquet, Alain Prost and Damon Hill.

He worked as technical director, chief designer and director of engineering at the team until resigning from the team in 2012, taking a step back and becoming involved with Williams Hybrid Power Limited up to 2014.

Most recently, he has returned to the team in a consultancy role as Williams makes efforts to restore itself to the front of F1.

With almost 50 years of experience in Formula 1, a vast technical knowledge of motor sport and nine constructors’ crowns, Head is one of the most successful engineers in the history of F1.
