New images of the Jeddah Formula 1 circuit have been revealed six months ahead of the inaugural race in Saudi Arabia.

A night race along the corniche on the edge of the Red Sea is set to go ahead on November 5 and become the third race in the region to take place under floodlights after Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.

New digital images have revealed what the paddock area of the Jeddah street circuit might look like after construction has been completed. The four-storey building will house the team garages, paddock club and race control hub.

F1 revealed its own interpretation of the purpose-built facility earlier this year as well as an onboard lap of the circuit, designed in collaboration with Herman Tilke’s company and the Formula 1 group. The 6.175km long circuit features 27 corners and will take the title of fastest street circuit on the calendar from the Baku City Street Circuit in Azerbaijan.

“As we’ve witnessed in recent years our people want to be at the very heart of the biggest moments in live sport and entertainment. And they don’t come any bigger than Formula 1. No matter where in the world it’s held, Formula 1 is an event that brings people together to celebrate an occasion that goes far beyond sport.

“We look forward to sharing this unique experience and sharing Jeddah with the world. For many Saudis this will be a dream come true.”
