Ferrari’s 2021 F1 car has apparently been leaked ahead of its launch later today.

The team’s ’21 car was planned to be revealed at 1pm but users reportedly found images of the car by setting the time on their computers ahead of the launch date. The images have now been shared widely on social media

It’s the second launch to be hit by a leak after Williams’s augmented reality app was shut down following users obtaining 3D models of the car with livery ahead of last Friday’s reveal.

If the leak is legitimate, the new SF21 features a redesigned front nose cone, aligning it closer to that of Mercedes with a swept-back edge leading to undernose cape.

The new car also features a nod to the team’s tribute livery from last season it ran at the Tuscan Grand Prix in Mugello. The rear of the car features a darker red colour, similar to that on the 2020 car for the team’s 1000th F1 grand prix based on Ferrari’s first racing car, the 125S.

A leaked clip of the launch video also shows the car up close in its new livery, featuring a green Mission Winnow logo on the engine cover and a Mugello-style throwback driver numbers.

The sidepods of the new car appear smaller than those of the previous car while the team looks to have taken inspiration from Williams’s sidepod style with a wedge-like surface leading down to the floor and rear of the car.
