The Lotus 18 mentioned above is the Rob Walker Racing car with which Moss won perhaps his greatest race, holding off the more powerful Ferraris off Richie Ginther and Phil Hill to take the nimble navy blue Hethel car to victory at Monaco.
The Ferguson P99 is highly significant as the the only four-wheel drive car to win a Formula 1 race. Moss achieved the result at the 1961 Gold Cup at Oulton Park, taking advantage of the cars all-wheel power to master a damp circuit.
In addition to the on-track running, more of Moss’s race and rally cars will be displayed in the paddock area, as well as a collection of classic period Jaguars.
Renowned motor sport journalist Simon Taylor will be providing commentary on the running, whilst there will be interviews with current owners from the pitlane.
The event is pre-book only, with tickets available at brooklandsmuseum.com.
