A 1958 Triumph T110 motorcycle belonging to Motor Sport’s Denis Jenkinson will be up for sale at the National Motorcycle Museum on April 7.
Jenks, who reported from around the world for Motor Sport as continental correspondent, owned the Triumph bike during the 1970s and 80s during his time travelling from race to race covering Formula 1 across Europe.
The motorbike in question is expected to fetch between £6500 and £7500 and will be on sale during the H&H Classics motorbike auction at the National Motorcycle Museum.
Not only a reporter on motor racing, Jenks became World Sidecar champion in 1949 as passenger to Eric Oliver, and went on to win the Mille Miglia as navigator for Stirling Moss in 1955, writing the famed ‘With Moss In The Mille Miglia‘ article for the magazine.
The current owner has kept the T110 in running order, with a prior restoration meaning it is in good overall condition.
“Provenance is always great to have and undoubtedly can add value, especially the likes of Denis Jenkinson, known more for his car exploits with Stirling Moss but this bike once more demonstrates his love of anything mechanical,” Mark Bryan, Head of Motorbike sales for H&H said.
