Bob Sheppey had a friend working for TV-am at the 1988 Monaco GP who got him tickets, allowing him full access during practice. That was the year of Ayrton Senna’s sublime qualifying lap – and then his super-rare error, crashing out of the lead. Bob says he was a novice snapper – but he did just fine
