RUSSO & STEELE —

The 10-year-old auction house will join Mecum at Monterey on August 18-20, where its lots include the 1972 Porsche 911 IMSA RSR that came first in the 1985 Sebring 12 Hours and a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Picket racer which competed in SCCA National, Trans-Am and IMSA events throughout ’76. There are plenty of other racers crossing the block, including a 1976 Chevrolet Camaro IROC racer and the 1992 Hooters Ford Thunderbird that helped Alan Kulwicki to that year’s NASCAR title. This particular chassis was his short-track car that he used in nine races, two of which he won.
