Chris Huhne, the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, claimed a motor sporting victory suited to his role when he took part in the Bridgestone Eco-Rally in July.

The Cabinet Minister drove the 55 miles from Brighton to London’s Hyde Park in a Tesla Roadster.

The event showcased a range of low- and zero-emission cars in a free public exhibition. Ex-Ferrari F1 driver Eddie Irvine joined Williams ace Nico Hulkenberg and technical boss Patrick Head at the rally. Having F1 names on board proves sustainable motoring has hit the mainstream,” said Irvine.
