ALMS Franck Montagny has been named as Andretti Green’s first driver for the rest of the season after Christian Fittipaldi and Bryan Herta were dropped from the line-up.

DTM Gary Paffett was excluded from fifth place at the Norisring after his Mercedes was found to be underweight. That promoted Mathias Lauda to eighth place and his first point of the season. The race was won by Jamie Green.

A1GP Filipe Albuquerque has been confirmed as the main driver for Team Portugal until the end of the 2009/2010 season.

GP2 Luca Filippi has left the ART Grand Prix team to join Team Arden, taking the place of Yelmer Buurman. Filippi has been replaced at ART by Renault Formula 1 test driver Sakon Yamamoto.

MotoGP John Hopkins has been ruled out of a return to the track until the Brno GP following surgery to his left leg after a high-speed crash at Assen. He has been replaced by AMA Superbike rider Jamie Hacking.
