Porsche tops oldtimer bill

A mighty Orwell Supersports field, topped by Manfred Freisinger in a very rare Porsche 917/10, will headline the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring on August 9/10.

In a field that includes nine cars over 5-litres, Leo Voyazides races a March 717 for the first time, while Irvine Laidlaw runs his DFV-powered Lola T292 and Andy Britnell makes his Supersports debut in one of the Osella PA1s of Grant Tromans.

Other leading races include Grand Prix Masters, World Sportscar Masters, HGPCA pre-’60 Grand Prix cars and Formula Junior, while the Historic Marathon runs on the Nordschleife for 3h40m on Friday afternoon.
