Après Paris... Le Wembley
After three highly successful years based in the Stade de France in Paris, Fredrik Johnsson is bringing the Race of Champions to the new Wembley Stadium this December. An annual indoor competition fest between racing and rally drivers, most of them World Champions, it regularly pulls crowds of 50,000 and is watched by 186 million television viewers. There is a variety of vehicles for the stars to drive on a specially prepared tarmac track which will be laid inside the stadium. At the launch in June, David Coulthard drove a Red Bull RB3 on the perimeter track and confirmed his entry, as did fellow Scot Colin McRae. The great news is that Michael Schumacher will also be competing alongside Jenson Button and Andy Priaulx while there was a positive hint that Lewis Hamilton might be persuaded to join in the fun come December 16.
