1000-yard sale

Shelsley Walsh is going the whole 1000 yards in a bid to raise the £1.5 million required to secure the famous venue’s motorsport future. The current 99-year lease runs out next March.

The hill is being divided up into square-yard lots that can have your name on for £125 each. There will be 4000 of them in total and it is hoped that this novel idea will raise £500,000 – or more, as the four plots on the startline and the four at the finish are to be auctioned off.
