Historic racer lands MSA job

The Motor Sports Association (MSA) has appointed John Grant as its new chairman, and he will take over from Michael Limb in December. He has spent most of his career in the automotive industry, and during 25 years with Ford has held a number of senior executive positions in Europe and North America.

Grant has a lifelong interest in motorsport, having competed in the 1960s and 1970s. More recently, he started racing again and now competes in Supersports Cup and Group C with a Chevron B19 and Jaguar XJR-17.

“I am delighted to have this opportunity to become involved with the MSA as it starts to develop a new strategy for motorsport in the UK,” he said.

“It will be my role to ensure that the MSA listens to and works with all the many interested parties and takes the lead in formulating and implementing a strategy that will secure a strong future for UK motorsport in all its forms.”
