THUMBING THROUGHT BACK ISSUES

Thumbing through back issues of MOTOR SPORT reminded me of how I used to report on traction-engine rallies and airshows. Perhaps the fuller calendar of today leaves you little time for such visits. But those seeking a change will find that the National Traction Engine Trust’s Steaming journal, which is every bit the equal of the best of the car club magazines, has an annual fixture list of its events (and for vintage folk almost every engine must be appropriate). The monthly Aeroplane does likewise for the year’s air displays.
