Ducati's Motorcycle
Ducati’s motorcycle interests started in 1946, with a 48cc engine for attaching to a bicycle. By the 1950s proper motorcycles appeared, and then came the racing Ducatis, some with desmodromic valve gear, as ridden to victory by Hailwood and Fogarty and many others. To commemorate this, the Ducati 2000 Exhibition will be held at the University of Northumbria, in Newcastle-on-Tyne until September 16; admission free, open Monday to Saturday.
