Wobbly web revealed
Sir,
I liked your new series on technical innovations very much. However you are entering a field where it is very hard to separate original ideas from the recycled. This is not a reason for trying and may give you a lot of feedback from readers.
Did the brilliant Colin Chapman really invent the wobbly web wheel? I enclose a photo of a 1919 Enfield All day. A highly innovative light car designed by AW Reeves and AC Bertelli. As you can see, the wheels look very wobbly. Was this an original idea or was this also a re-invention?
