VSCC Light Car Summer Rally

Held on June 28, First Class Awards in the novices’ class went to the Rendalls’ Marion M30 and Webb/Butler (Aero Morgan), Second Class Awards to Stammers/Bates (Riley 9) and Philip and Janet Diffey (Humber 9/20) and Third Class Awards to Good/Smith (Gwynne 8) and Reece/Lloyd (Renault AX).

Of the experts, the Johns in their Humber 8/18, Morgan/Murphy in their similar car and the Jeddere-Fisher’s big Lancia Theta scored Firsts, Dighton/Howarth (Humber 9/20) a Second and David and Mary Marsh (A7), Jones/Pippa Considine (A7) and the Urrys Riley 9) Thirds. The GNs were out of luck, one non-starting, as did an A7, another example of which retired. The Lady Rachel Trophy for best light car went to the Morgans’ Humber 8/18 and the Navigator’s Trophy for best VSCC member to Arthur Jeddere-Fisher. W B
