Seat lbiza SXi

A new hot hatch from Volkswagen’s Spanish subsidiary Seat has arrived in this country. Labelled the Ibiza SXi it is a derivation of the three-door GLX. Propelled by a 1.5-litre injected engine, the car has a top speed of 115 mph, but acceleration from standstill is an unexciting 10.8 seconds, almost 2 1/2 seconds slower than the comparable Vauxhall Nova GTE. An improved interior, from both and aesthetic and functional viewpoint, and a high level of accessories to make it reasonable value at £8299.
