Ferrari 3.5-litre V12 for 1988?
Ferrari is working on two alternative projects for the 1988 Formula One season.
At Maranello development is continuing apace on a revised version of the current 90° V6 turbo, assessing its viability and potential competitiveness on 150 litres and a boost restriction of 2.5-bar (as opposed to 195 litres and 4-bar in 1987), while John Barnard’s GTO design studio at Guildford is working on a totally new car to take a 3.5-litre V12 naturally-aspirated engine.
