1975 German Grand Prix in pictures
After a very consistent drive, avoiding stones and dirt kicked onto the circuit by careless competitors, Carlos Reutemann (No. 7, above) won the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring on August 3rd by over a minute and a half from Jacques Laffite (Williams-Cosworth) (No. 21, below right). On the right, Reutemann. Laffite and third-place finisher Niki Lauda set off on their lap of honour. Below (left) Hans-Joachim Stuck, son of the former Auto-Union star, waits for the start in the cockpit of his March 751. On the opposite page at the top, Niki Lauda’s Ferrari can be seen leading the field through the Hatzenbach forest section on the opening lap. Behind are Depailler, Pace, Mass and Reutemann. On the left, a bunch of cars jostle under braking for South Curve. In the picture are Stuck (No. 10), Emerson Fittipaldi (No. 1), Vittorio Brambilla (No. 9), James Hunt (No. 24), Lotus debutant John Watson (No. 6), the Shadows of Jarier and Pryce (Nos. 17 and 16), Andretti’s Parnelli and Brise’s Hill. The bottom picture shows Pryce aviating at the Pflantzgarten jump. He soldiered on to fourth place, drenched in petrol.
