Mr. R.C. Cole

Mr. R. C. Cole is well known for his frequent voyages from London to the Continent by speed dinghy. In response to a general invitation to the revellers on the Show-Boat, Miss Betty May, daughter of Sir G. May, volunteered to accompany Mr. Cole on his latest venture, and in this article he recounts their many adventures of their 8-day voyage to Antwerp and back, which culminated under dramatic circumstances by running aground on a sandbank in the Thames Estuary on the return journey.
