THE J.C.C. TWO-HUNDRED MILES RACE.

A large entry has already been received for the J.C.C. two-hundred miles annual event. This great race takes place at Brooklands on the 25th of September, under road conditions. At present the entries in the 1,500 c.c. class comprise Malcolm Campbell, W. Johnston, and J. Douglas driving Bugattis ; C. M. Harvey and probably the Earl of Cottenham piloting Alvis cars. T. Thistlethwayte and J. G. P. Thomas on the Thomas Cars which should have appeared in the recent Grand Prix. It is practically certain that the three Talbots will also run on their return from the Monza Grand Prix. M. K. Marendaz will drive a Marendaz.

The entry in the 1,100 c.c. is larger than ever. Vernon Balls is entering his Amilcar, and it is probable that two other Amilcars will also run. J. Turner will drive the Gwynne, A. Bovier has entered three Salinsons, and Eric Longden a 7-h.p. Fiat. A. Waite will drive an Austin with an enlarged engine.

At present there is a scarcity of entries for the 750 c.c. class, the only probable starters being G. Hendy’s Austin and three others.
