Special memories

As ever Simon Taylor fails to disappoint with his ‘Lunch with…’ series of interviews and the latest with Tyler Alexander was just as interesting. I was particularly interested in his reference to the purchase of the Roger Penske Zerex Special, because I have memories of my father taking myself and my brother to Ou1ton Park for the spring meeting in 1964 (when Bruce had just acquired the car). It was painted dark green with a silver stripe and the programme for the event listed it simply as a CooperClimax. It was not until we got to the paddock that we saw what it was. I attach a photo taken by my father, showing Bruce trying out the car and talking to Tyler.
