Proctor returns to Goodwood

Peter Proctor raced for the first time in 36 years at the Goodwood Revival Meeting. The works Rootes Group race and rally driver of the 1950s and ’60s was returning to the circuit where a fiery accident in ’66 ended his career.

Proctor shared the ex-works Sunbeam Lister Tiger of Darrell Mountjoy (below) in the TT Celebration race, finishing 23rd in the car that has been brought over from California for the summer. The sister 1964 car of Chris Beighton/Howden Ganley finished 13th.
