It’s too late to enter, but you could still get over to enjoy the crack on the Circuit of Ireland Retro, on the weekend of October 13-15. A favourite event since it began 10 years ago, the event draws historic rally crews from here and abroad aiming to tackle the mix of night navigation, regularity and driving skill tests, and of course the demanding social element. This year the start moves to Bangor, Co Down, before progressing to Galway, and uses many traditional Circuit sections. Unusual contenders include the Willys Jeep of Philip Surtees and Robin Cardale, and a rare Rover Marauder entered by Ian Glass. More details on 01232 426 262
