Rene Dreyfus the former Bugatti star who had lived in New York since the War, returned to the Montlhery circuit recently to relive the hardest race of his career. One million francs of Government support was the prize he won for Delahaye in a duel against Jean-Pierre Wimille’s Bugatti in 1937.

Dreyfus, now 82, described himself as being very moved to drive the Delahaye once again at the scene of its triumph.
