IT IS with great regret and sadness that we record the death of Mike Twite who was one of the victims of a recent air crash involving a Vickers Varsity. Mike was on the plane in order to write about it for an air magalint which he edited. He began his writing career with Vickers Armstrong on technical publications and joined MOTOR SPORT in 1959. Between 1960-65 he served as Assistant Editor before moving to our sister publication, MOTORING NEWS as editor, which post he held until 1968.

Mike served with distinction on a number of journals before returning to freelance work in 1980. He was 51 at the time of his death and the author of several books.

We extend our deepest sympathy to his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
