In your article “Recalling the 1935 German GP” you mention walb and suggest be was an Auto-Union technician. Willi Walb seas Auto Union’s Racing Manager but, unlike his counterpart Neubauer, has been almost overlooked by contemporary writers and historians alike. Perhaps he should have eaten more and shouted louder!

You will find several references in “Motoring Sport” by Stuck and Burgaller, also two Photographs, one of which shows Walb in the Rumpler designed rear-engined Benz that he drove in the 1923 European GP.
