The range of good racing-car miniatures is continually being extended. One of the best F1 models we have seen is the latest die-cast Corgi of a Rob Walker Surtees TS9 in the Brooke Bond Oxo and Duckhams colours, the little car being very fully detailed and measuring 4 5/8 in. in length, with a realistic reproduction of the engine in its tail. The Makers are Mettoy Playcraft Ltd., Euston Centre, 374, Euston Road, London, NW1.

Lesney continue to concentrate on rather nonsensical miniatures but this does not apply to their “MATCHBOX” Mercedes-Benz C111, which is scaled 44 : 1, so is 4 in. long, and sells for 45p. Details embrace purple-tinted windows and gear-lever, etc. — W. B.
