From your report on the Swiss Grand Prix one gets the impression that Rosier’s Ferrari touched my H.W.M. through a fault of his own, and was promptly deflected into the bushes as a consequence.

In all fairness to this driver, I would like to emphasise that be had to brake rather hard in order to avoid another competitor, and that I, who was coming up fast behind, could not avoid touching his car, taking Rosier unawares.

Further, your contributor found it odd that Ascari should have started with number 46, while he was down on the programme as number 22. The explanation of this oddity actually came from the loudspeakers, which said that Ascari did wit like his number 22 and as a consequence asked the organisers to be given another number. ” Ascari being such an important man,” said the announcer, “the organisers agreed to his request.” I am, Yours, etc.,
