HAVE YOU ANY SUGGESTIONS?
* * * HAVE YOU ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Sir,
Re your heading “Have you any Suggestions? “in last month’s issue, I would like to see more photos and ” dope ” (to use an Americanism) on home-built jobs, Shelsley specials and such cars as B.N.C. Lombard, Rally, Ratier and earlier types such as Eric Campbell, Ashton Evans, Ceirano, Frontenac, Bignan, Arab, Crouch, ILE. Taunton, etc., etc.
I have just compiled a list of 366 different makes of cars which I have seen on the road, in garages and breakers’ yards during the last few years ; the list includes three-wheelers, but not steam cars, or heavy commercial vehicles. Can any reader produce a longer list ? I read with interest your reader’s remarks on the Palladium car and
wonder how many are familiar with such makes as the Lloyd Lord, Bond, Scott Sociable, La ‘Atte, Castle Three, Eric Longden, Rollin, Phcenix, Ruston Hornsby, Carden, D.F.P. Donnet, Bleriot Whippet, A.V. Albatross, Tamplin with front tank and belt drive, the Horstman with foot starter, D’Yrsan, the 1,100 c.c. Ruby engined three-wheeler, Le Zebre, etc. Hoping to see some information in your excellent journal on some of these earlier machines. Would also like to see tuning tips on Leaf Bug., Nash, Austin, etc., on lines of” Bentley tuning ” of last issue. I am, Yours etc.,
BOB BURGESS.
