A CORRECTION.
IN last month’s MOTOR SPORT an error crept into the advertisement cf M. A. McEvoy, who markets the very attractive Wolseley Hornet ” Special” bearing his name. The mistake in question was that this car was stated to be capable of a speed of 75-80 m.p.h. when supercharged. In point of fact this should have read ” unsupercharged.” As a result of this slip, Mr. McEvoy informs us, many inquiries have been received by him for details of this altogether mythical blown Hornet. We hasten to point out, therefore, that the McEvoy ” Special ” is unsupercharged. Readers who are interested in the McEvoy ” Special” should note that a London depot has now been opened where
‘ these cars may be inspected and tried. Facilities are also available for servicing and supertuning the Hornet. This London branch is situated at 146, High Street, Notting Hill Gate, W.11.
