Fittipaldi CTG details

When Formula 1 cars were simpler…shown here a sketch of some modifications to a Fittipaldi FD04 monocoque , purportedly created in Brazil but in fact built in Bournemouth. It comes from the album of Cyril Malem, interviewed on page 103, whose firm CTG took on the job – for £2000. The car was rushed to Heathrow, quietly flown to Brazil and unveiled before the 1976 Interlagos race, where Emerson finished 13th.
