Show time

Sir,

As a subscriber to your magazine, I wonder if your readers can help? I own an Alfa Romeo 2600 SZ, a rare car with only 105 made, of which about 50 are known to still exist. My car was one of five prototype vehicles. I know it was in Alfa’s possession between September and November 1965. During this time the model was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 17 1965, and I can assume that Alfa had a presence that year at Paris (October), London (October) and Turin (November). I can make the assumption that my car was the one used in all these shows, then sold when no longer required after Turin, but I would love to prove it!

I wonder if any reader has recollections or photographs of the Alfa stands at the 1965 shows in Frankfurt, London, Paris or Turin? If they show a 2600 SZ, all the better (mine was originally red but may have been resprayed gunmetal early on). My car is currently being restored to its former state.
