Warwick takes over from Hill
Derek Warwick, the 1992 Le Mans winner, will take over from Damon Hill as president of the British Racing Drivers’ Club.
“The BRDC and Silverstone face an exciting future,” said Warwick. “In the next five to 10 years we have a chance to develop Silverstone into the world’s best motor sport venue.
“Damon steered us through some difficult but successful times and I aim to continue where he left off. The immediate focus is on securing third-party investment in Silverstone to realise the potential of the 750-acre estate. I am also passionate about supporting young British drivers, who are the future.”
