Lola Can-Am ready to race
An unraced Lola T310 Can-Am car is set to compete soon in the hands of owner Vic Nutter, nearly 38 years after it featured in the 1972 Earls Court Motor Show and was then shipped to Australia.
Although the sister car was raced in period by David Hobbs, Nutter’s chassis found its way into a museum in Austria. It only surfaced when the museum was sold and the cars came onto the market.
It ran at the 2008 Festival of Speed, but Nutter has more recently tested the car at Donington and now hopes to race it. “The brakes and shockers are not working properly,” reported Nutter from the test.
