The 2008 MSA British Historic Rally Championship will retain the same eight events as run in 2007, starting with the Robin Hood Stages in March and taking in trips to the Isle of Man and Belgium. Alongside the BHRC, the Historic Rally Car Register has launched a new series of cut-down events aimed at encouraging more pre-68 cars into action.
John Milicevic has brought a notable Lotus 18 back to racing following a complete restoration. The 1960 Formula Junior is the car that Henry Taylor raced to victory in the Empire Trophy at Silverstone in October 1960.
The Historic Grand Prix Car Association has recently canvassed its members to gauge support for a possible trip to Brazil at the end of February 2008 for a race weekend at the famous Interlagos circuit.
The rare Porsche 718 of Burkhard von Schenk had its first race for many years when it contested the Madgwick Cup at Goodwood. He ran as high as eighth before a spin dropped the 1960 car down the field.
