Minshaw buys 24-Hr Cobra
The AC Cobra which finished seventh in the 1963 Le Mans 24 Hours has been acquired by Jon Minshaw, son of Alan, founder of the Demon Tweeks parts firm.
Minshaw Jnr has developed into an accomplished historic racer in the last couple of seasons, and has now added the Cobra to his stable.
The car, registration 39PH, was driven in the French 24-hour classic (right) by Ninian Sanderson/Peter Bolton, the British duo winning the over-3000cc GT class.
39PH was then raced in Britain during 1964 by Jack Sears.
It’s been owned by Nigel Hulme for 30 years and recently finished seventh at Goodwood driven by Hulme and Richard Attwood.
