The subject of the National Motor Museum’s plan to have a reproduction of an historic garage at Beaulieu has cropped up again. The project came to a halt for lack of money, after the Museum’s Curator, Michael Ware, had collected many suitable items. The cost of such a replica 1930s garage was £475,000. It is now announced that the National Lottery Fund and the T&N plc have made a grant to the Museum Trust of £245,866, which must be a considerable help.
