Concours Discourse

I rather enjoyed DSJ’s sideswipe at Concours (MOTOR SPORT, October 1987). On a scale of excitement, I would place these events just above putting wellington boots on, and slightly below feeding the cat . The term Concours d’Elegance I believe is now being superceded by Concours d’Etat. The linguists amongst you will know what that means, although judging by some models seen in these competitions, Concours de Tat would be more applicable.
