The British Racing Scene 2
Top, Formula Ford produced all its usual antics in a season dominated by Irishmen Kenny Acheson, Michael Roe and Bernard Devaney. Only Britain’s Peter Morgan, who won the Esso series in a one-off Lola, provided any real joy for home supporters. Above left, Peter Day’s incredible 2-cylinder Fiat 500 special saloon; above right, Charles Morgan, who took the original Plus 8 produced by his father’s firm to the DB Motors Prodsports title. Below, Lolas have dominated Sports 2000. This is the 1978 T492 version driven by Frank Sytner.
